I am a Group Leader and Senior Researcher within the Chair for Sustainability and Technology (SusTec) at ETH Zürich. I earned my PhD in 2022 and MS in 2018, both in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. I earned my B.Sc.(Eng) in 2016 in Mathematics and Engineering from Queen's University, Canada. I am originally from Toronto, Canada.
I am the recipient of an Ambizione Grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation for my project Data-POETRY: Data-informed POlicy Exploration for TRansportation and energY.
My research addresses electrification, emissions modelling, energy system decarbonization with a recent focus on electric vehicle charging patterns, equitable access, and grid impacts. I believe in science- and data-informed policymaking, and I enjoy projects that bridge the gap between policy and technical modelling. I work closely with both industry and policymakers to ensure the impact of my research.
Teaching, mentorship, and working closely with students are some of the best parts of my job. I am passionate about equipping the next generation of engineers to make a positive contribution in our fight against climate change.
I am committed to building inclusive communities in engineering and energy research.
